Our 304L material is triple certified to meet 304L, 302 and 304. Type 304L is a lower carbon (.03 max) alternative to Type 304 (.08 max). The lower carbon helps promote resistance to intergranular attack after welding has taken place. Type 304L is used in many applications including welded tubes, bellows, food and medical applications. For many non welding applications, 304L can often be substituted for Type 304 when the size desired is not available in Type 304.
