E-Brite® was developed by Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation for use in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells. E-Brite® is a highly pure ferritic stainless steel that combines excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation with good fabrication characteristics. Recent planar solid oxide fuel cell designs have incorporated metallic components, like E-brite® materials, instead of ceramic components due to optimum material properties and reduced cost.
