Stainless Steel Sheets
Austenitic stainless steels are the most commonly used stainless steels. This class of stainless steel includes 200 and 300 series alloys, which are hardenable by cold working. The 300 series alloys contain chromium and nickel as their major alloying additions. Type 304 (also known as 18-8) is the most widely used of all stainless steel alloys. Type 300 series alloys available in SHEET at Sidecuts.com® include 301, 302/304, 316/316L, and 321.
Precipitation hardening (PH) stainless steels are designed to be formable in the solution annealed condition and can subsequently be hardened by heat treating to strength levels several times that of Type 304. PH grades contain chromium and nickel as the major alloying elements. Sidecuts.com® offers 17-7PH®.
